prolonge richement les dialectiques articulant les fictions complexes de
Miyazaki : profusion et épuisement, enflure et ligne claire, inspiration du
vivant et aspiration vers l’imaginaire. Il en reconduit également les références
européennes, citant cette fois Thomas Mann et, surtout, Paul Valéry : «Le
vent se lève, il faut tenter de vivre.» Et vivre, nous dit l’ultime film de
Miyazaki, c’est pleinement s’adonner aux rêves, travailler à offrir à un monde
qui ne les mérite pas la matérialisation de ces passions chimériques, rattraper
au vol ce qu’emporte le souffle du temps et que l’on croit pouvoir retenir (ici,
un chapeau, un parasol ou un avion en papier, comme autant de figurations d’un
amour damné), mais qui finira pourtant toujours, inexorablement, par nous
échapper."
